Annual Business Meeting November 16, 2025

The Mountain Empire Chapter held their annual business meeting on November 16, 2025 at the Blackthorn Club with 30 members and guest attending.  President Don Thompson called the meeting to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. After a wonderful brunch, the board members reported on the status of their areas of resposibilities to the members.

Next, we welcomed our guest speaker COL Paul Schmitt, U.S. Army (Ret.).  He operates the United States Military Academy, West Point Admissions Field Force for our area. He is the local point of contact for high school students with an interest in applying to West Point.  His guidance and knowledge of the application process helps those that meet minimum requirements to prepare for the congressional nomination process. We thank COL Schmitt for his expertise on the West Point application process.

President Don Thompson ended the meeting with a call to action for donations to our scholarship programs.
