Chapter member Gary Onyett, CPT USAF Ret. is the local representative for a new nonprofit organization called Soldiers Angles. The organization provides aid, comfort and resourses to the Military, Veterans and their families.  Website: http://soldiersangels.org

Chapter member Tony Banchs, Col USA Ret. continues to serve as the Adjutant for the American Legion Watauga and the Quartermaster for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2166 in Elizabethton.  He is working on events that are in the planning stages for the 25th anniversary of 911 on September 26, 2026 and our country's 250th anniversary.

Chapter members Keith Thompson, Maj USMC Ret. and Pat Shull, Col USA Ret. are Board Members on the Tennessee State Veterans' Homes.  They have been instrumental in securing property for a state Veterans home in Kingsport. They continue working through some issues with the state approval for the property site. They remain confident that all issues will be resolved.
